Valle de Bravo is well known for it's outstanding weather conditions during the winter months. There is no rain from October untill May. The wind at the takeoff blows constantly from the same direction which gives us an incredible 340 flyable days throughout the year. The take-off is nice and big providing a lot of room for launching with no stress. December has the most visitors as in this month the conditions are best. You can expect moderate to strong thermic activity which can produce some sharp updrafts up to 7/m/s and reach from 3000m to 5000m ASL. The temperature is mild during the day and can go up to 27 ºC.

Valle de Bravo is a beautiful town where you can really enjoy your time flying and relax afterwards. The famous Mexican food and the tropical fruits will be adding to your memories from Valle. In the surroundings you can visit the impressive Santuario de Mariposa Monarca - the famous butterflies. The volcano Nevado de Toluca that tops up at 4800m and all the mountain area is excelent for hiking. It's also worth visiting Mexico City and other local attractions like Zocalo, the Pyramides of Teotichuacan, Reforma, Coyoacan. If you come for a longer time you might consider travel further to the Mayan coast (Cancun, Tulum, ChichenItza, Coba) or the Pacific coast (Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Escondido).
Escape the cold winter and learn to fly XC in Mexico! Join our XC course during the winter holidays. The course is held in Valle de Bravo by Marko, an XC APPI Master Instructor with a long career in PWC and other top level events that will coach you in all steps and guide your flight in every aspect from takeoff until the landing. The course includes 5 flying days in moderate thermic conditions with clouds bases from 3300 to 4500m ASL. The climate allows us to fly every day! During the late afternoon and evening you will have advanced theory from various subjects regarding XC. The course is done in English language with all the material in English.
