For XC intermediate to advance pilots La Puente offers you almost everything to progress and brake your personal record. After only 5 years La Puente Takeoff is Already the #1 Spot for long XC in Venezuela. Having a private takeoff at 1250mts it's the perfect start location.

Takeoff at 1250 mts with ground at 300mts you will have plenty of altitude to get one of the 4 house thermals. With a Mountain flight at the start you can choose at 1500mts to keep on the mountain or move out to the flats. Having a main road along the flying route our Retrieving car will always have you on site. As all travels Insurance and GPS tracker are recommended. Thermals here are from +1 to +6 during summer time ( November to April) and during Rainy season ( July to August) having thermals from +1 to +3. Usually we have Cloud base from 1500 mts to 2400mts . Two main routes to fly from Yaracuy La Puente to Lara State or Portuguesa State , ranging from 50kms to 200 kms +.

The Destination

The small and friendly villages where our takeoff is located hosts the only paragliding Camp in Venezuela . La puente is a new Paragliding site which we have been developing from over 5 years and has become a #1 XC site in Venezuela having several flight over 210kms in one day . La Puente Located in Yaracuy State has already a private Lodge for 4 pilots and a Hotel at less than 20 minutes from the 2 takeoffs. One for large groups of over 60 pilots and the small one for 10 pilots at a walking distance from one another. With almost 7 months to fly a year from October to April , we have flown 3 main routes with 150 kms to 210 kms and FAI Triangle of 90 kms.

The Experience

We are dedicated to serve our visiting pilots and offer them trips not only for paragliding but tours around the area as Cumaripa Dam, to experience Kayaking, windsurfing, Kitesurf, trekking and MountainBike on request. Nature is almost untouched with plenty of landing zone. Locals are very friendly towards paraglider pilots.

Accommodation

At the takeoff we have a private Lodge with full accommodation for 4 pax plus enough space for tents. At only 20 minutes drive we have Hotel Cumaripa 3 star Hotel. Climate at takeoff is very pleasant with mild temperatures ranging from 10 to 18 degrees,. We serve a typical Venezuelan breakfast and after the flights we usually share BBQ and other special meals from Erika’s Cuccine.

Importer & exporter who has been paragliding for over 8 years now. In which have found our own Flying Spot with XC’s from 100-200 kms during our season which is almos 9 months long. After getting into Paragliding I decided to promote Venezuela as a Destination for Pilots who love adventure and are willing to brake personal records on XC,. We are integrating Lodge and Full Pilots service to the ultimate level to fulfill their goal. Loving it already.
