Mount Babadağ is located in Turkish Mediterranean coast and tops at 2000 m providing a perfect flying site for all wind directions. Light winds and cloud base at 2500-3500 m are common during the day. The most commonly used and biggest launch stands at 1700 m facing SSW. At 1800 m there is another take-off, facing the opposite direction. The 1900 m take-off allows for launch in two different directions, NNE and SSE. There is also 1200 m take-off, used generally in stronger conditions or when the top gets covered by clouds. In any case, you have more than 1000 m when you arrive in the box which makes this place one of the most (if not the most) attractive SIV sites in the world.

The Destination

Ölüdeniz is a tourist resort with the bonus of a 2000 m high mountain standing right there for you. It is located in Muğla Province on the Southwest coast of Turkey just at the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The town is a beach resort and the area is known as the Turquoise Coast of Turkey due to its incredibly blue waters and sun drenched beaches. The whole region is surrounded by high mountains forming the southwestern peaks of the Taurus Mountains. These mountains exceed 2000 metres in some places and extend all along the coastline The nearest airport of Dalaman, which has a extensive range of international flights particularly during the high season, is only 45 min drive. There are frequent bus and taxi services from Dalaman Airports to ÖlÜdeniz, making it easily accesable.
