South Africa is truly a spectacular and unique paragliding destination with diverse landscape and wild nature. You will find beautiful long summer days that allows plenty of airtime for beginners all the way through to the experienced pilot. Most of the country raises 1000m above sea level on a large plateau and the coastlines gets plenty of wind. The best time of the year for paragliding is October until May and conditions vary from the mellow soaring winds by the coast up to strong thermic conditions inland. We cover 3 predominant flying areas namely Cape Town, Wilderness and Porterville providing a perfect blend of Coastal and thermic sites. Porterville- Dasklip, Piketberg - Our World class Thermic sites where we fly along the scenic ridges towards Clanwilliam and beyond. Wildernis- Map of Africa, Paradise ridge, Sedgefield, Gerickes, Beach Hotel, Kleikrans to name but a few- All spectacular coastal soaring sites Capetown- Lions head, Table mountain, Sir lowry's pass, Franschhoek, Signal hill, Kommetjie etc where we will enjoy the views over the mother city of Cape Town. We urge all pilots to have a working cell phone(sim cards can be obtained), radio to operate on 141.600 mHz frequency, any livetracker/Spot/Inreach would be beneficial, reserve and helmet is mandatory in South Africa. Personal/travel insurance to cover paragliding is also needed

The Experience

We offer a 14 day action packed paragliding vacation taking place in South Africa with a variety of different flying site ranging from coastal soaring to inland thermic conditions. Our team(3 instructors and tour guides) will ensure that there is sufficient activities along the route for the best time ever. Accommodation and two dinners will be included.

Fly over Cape Town and enjoy the beauty of Table Mountain, Cape Town City and the surrounding beaches from the comfort of your harness. Fly cross country in Porterville, one of the top cross-country sites in the world. Visit the Garden Route for relaxed and scenic flights along the coast in Wilderness and Sedgefield. Experience the nature, cultures and history that makes South Africa one of the most diverse and interesting countries to visit in the world.

Accommodation

Accommodation and breakfast will be included in the package. We will make use of available guest house facilities depending on the area of flying. Accommodation is on a shared room basis unless specially requested for private room.
