We have plenty paragliding locations nearby and almost all takeoffs are easily accessible for begginner's level. Nevertheless, according to the season and time of the day they also allow cross-country flights for the experienced pilot. You can expect mild weather conditions throughout the year making it easy and fun for everyone.

The Destination

Piana degli Albanesi is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily. It is a mountain resort, whose natural environment and typical mild mediterranean climate create a peaceful and serene oasis. Its natural frame consists of a lake, the mountains and the typical rural quarters.It is surrounded by four mountains (Pizzuta, Kumeta, Maganoce, Xeravulli), natural sites (Neviere, Cave Garrone, Honi), and the nature reserve Serre della Pizzuta. There are a number of recreational activities available in the area, such as hiking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing and, of course, paragliding! The territory is crossed by several streams. To the south-east, immersed in , there is the artificial lake formed in 1923 by damming the Belice Destro river (Lumi Honi), barred in the 1920s to allow for the construction of the Lake of Piana degli Albanesi, since 1999 a natural oasis protected and safeguarded by the World Wildlife Foundation.

The Experience

We are located in the best place for flying in Sicily: Piana degli Albanesi. In the surroundings there are more than 20 take-offs allowing flights for any wind direction. You can pass from mountain flights to spectacular soaring by the coast just a few kilometers away, finding beautiful beaches, historical and cultural places of global importance, not to mention the excellent local cuisine in every local restaurant. We will provide guiding and take in consideration your skill level and daily conditions in order to provide the best flying experience during your time here. In the unlikely event of adverse weather there are plenty of options for other activities like mountain biking or kayaking just to name a few.

Accommodation

Our guesthouse has 4 beautiful and comfortable rooms, 2 with en-suite bathroom and 2 with shared bathroom for a total of 10/12 comfortable beds. There is a living room kitchen where you can have breakfast or prepare food. There are also outdoor areas with barbecue and wood-burning ovens where it is possible to cook in the spring and summer.
