Larouco's take-off is one of the best paragliding spots in Portugal and has been the stage of several top-level events like World Cups and big International Opens. It will be the here where the next European Championships will take place, in the summer of 2018. This a fantastic flying site, with mixed terrain from low hills to flatlands, and some higher ridges. It's very safe and the best conditions are when a convergence sets in, allowing for amazing flights. In summer you can expect strong thermals and high cloudbase giving the chance to explore the area. The sea breeze normally gets here in the afternoons providing amazing glass-off and fantastic restitutions by the end of the day! Several take-offs provide a good starting point for all conditions and wind directions!

We are located in the northern part of the country, close to the border with Spain. An area that is full of historical monuments and mysticism. The Experience

This is mainly an accommodation offer - with the paragliding plus! A teepee, a relaxation area and traditional meals (served in local restaurants) will welcome you and make your stay even more memorable. Whichever the season, you will fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings and landscapes. Apart from the stunning flying, bicycles, canoes and snowshoes (depending on the season) may be rent for your getaways.

Accommodation

A yurt is originally the traditional accommodation of Mongolian nomads. It is a family home that is resistant and eco-friendly, different from any other type of housing. One single and spacious room with a stove in the middle. Its round and welcoming shape – together with the furniture and decoration – provides a feeling of well-being and peacefulness (heating in winter). With a surface area of about 30m2, it accommodates up to 4 persons (one double bed and two single beds). For an even more exclusive stay, you can also choose our Tree House.
