On the coast you can get good weather all year round. Depending on the exact direction and strength of wind, we will take you to the right spot within a short drive. The best time to fly on the beach is from September to May. The westerly winds tend to dominate on the coastline, allowing long soaring sessions until sunset.

The Experience

Portugal offers you high-quality flights throughout the whole country. From south, through western till north-east winds, you can find amazing spots along the several-hundred-kilometer-long coastline with huge diversity on the landscape from friendly sandy dunes to majestic rocky parts. Inland you will have the chance to fly big triangles on the less windy days and go really far when the conditions set in. Always challenging but safe conditions will surely improve your skills at all levels. Astonishing and unique landscapes will follow your flight, friendly vultures will help you to find the thermals and welcoming locals will ensure that you are not thirsty and hungry until retrieve arrives.

Itinerary

We offer a complete and mixed-trip. We will pick you up from Lisbon Airport and then head to our base for our costal flying in the surrounding area. Within easy reach there are plenty of take-offs along the coast. We will be chasing the good weather and exploring all different spots according to the current conditions. In case the weather does not allow flying in one day or another, there are plenty of alternative options to chose from (kite-surfing, sailing , caving, wine&food tasting, sightseeing, coastal trekking etc). This is ideal for paragliders and their non-flying companions.

Accommodation

Our offer covers different kinds of accomodation. You can chose to stay in simple hotels, appartment houses or flats, campsites. On the coastline we arrange accomodation in charming fishing cities/villages so you can easily have dinners, bars, etc. in walking distance. The accomodation is either in Lisbon city center - in a hostel - or in small villages in cosy rural houses which are comfortable, clean and fully-equipped. Dining out is never a problem in Portugal.

I started paragliding long time ago, soaring the sandy dunes close to my home place. I got the passion for the sport and it took me far, around the World, and quite high, including some podiums ... My passion is XC and i really dream about going further. I normally attend high level competitions as well, i like to fly among the Worlds' best, challenge myself.
