The Destination

Madeira is a Portuguese island on the Atlantic Ocean, known for its mild weather all year long. It is a popular year-round resort, being visited every year by about one million tourists escaping the cold weather in northern Europe. The region is noted for its famous Madeira wine, gastronomy, historical and cultural value, its flora and fauna, landscapes (Laurel forest) which are classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and embroidery artisans. Due to its volcanic origin, the nature is quite rugged with high cliffs over the ocean. The subtropical climate provides good conditions to fly almost every day, making it a perfect escape destination.

The Experience

The private take-off area nearby from several rental apartments standing 440m high over the Ocean. It provides good flying conditions with almost every wind direction, all year long! Ideal for Acro, XC, SIV, training flights and tandems. It's also very easy to topland. Due to this benign conditions, you will have the chance to fly whenever you want and decide the best time to profit from what Nature offers us. You can schedulle an early morning flight, topland, and go for another round. Or you can decide to practise your acro runs and later on go on a xc expedition along the coast. Everything is possible!

Accommodation

In the neighborhood are several rental options with all kind of comfort. If you prefer you can even stay outside, camping on starting place. Available for you, besides the accommodation are: car parking, kitchen barbeque facilities, wifi, power supply, lounge area, and books, magazines, shower/WC. The stunning sunset view is also included.
