May and June are the most interesting months of the year, followed by September and October. In the summer the temperatures often exceed 40° C, so flying is mostly limited to the mornings and late afternoon / evenings, with the reward of soft thermals and unforgettable sunsets!

The Destination

Greece needs no introduction. This is one of the most historical and cultural places in Europe... and a Paragliding Eldorado! The Olympus Mountains are the highest peaks in Greece, with a max. elevation of 2918 m ASL (Mytika). These paragliding sites offer uncrowded paragliding adventures! Located approximately 1,5 hours by car south of Thessaloniki, several paragliding spots around the Olympos offer a large playground for almost all types of paragliding, such as XC, soaring, thermalflying, hike & fly. All flying areas have easy launches for almost all wind directions, and the elevation ranges from 630m to 1.530m with large landing sites. Usually the stable weather conditions allow for lots of fun with good flying for beginners and also experienced pilots, XC included!

The Experience

This is a guided tour offering you several options: Thermic flying, XC, soaring, hike & fly, everything is possible! We profit from more than 15 spots with easy launches and landing areas around the Olympus area where we find several spots with up to 2000m elevation! The beautiful views stretches from the mountains until the sea. This is a mix of culture and pure nature! All together the ideal combination to explore Greece and its various possibilities!

Cultural Trips

Meteora, Delphi, Spring of Daphne, many other ancient monasterys and churches can be visited during your holiday and offer you a taste for the history of Greece. You can also visit the castle and the byzantine churches with the unique murals, the near archaeological sites (Leibithra - Dion) and admire the natural beauties following the steps of the twelve gods of Olympus.

The Beach!

Sand beach with clear water, 50 m from the Hotel! Ideal to relax after a hard day paragliding. Join us to have a party at the beach in one of the beachclubs, or barbeque with open fire!

Nature Excursions: not only for the family!

The Olymp National Park, Pinos-Delta and many other locations offer a large number of attractions. One of the main highlights is the visit to a hospital for wounded Turtles in his Eremity, or let him lead us to the nature spectacles in the area such as the famous Olympic Waterfalls, or hidden places where rare flowers grow or animals can be watched! Be surprised!

Eating out

Visitors of restaurant will have the opportunity to enjoy Raki, Ouzo or Retsina with locals snacks, or a delicious meal or dinner in the specially designed and tastefully decorated space, in a friendly and cozy atmosphere. There is a very good variety of white wines and some red. We will taste the fresh fish that just came from the sea. This is our big advantage, since the local fishermen supplies us every morning , with fresh fish that was just captured during night. The best place for dinner is at the outdoor restaurant overlooking the sea where the dew, generously given from the trees, is something truly unique and priceless in the warm days and nights of summer.

Accommodation

We are staying at Hotel Lefkes, directly at Skotina Beach. Double and single rooms with balcony facing the sea and equiped with AC, bathroom, W-Lan are available. There is a good local restaurant for our commodity. The hotel is located in the front of the Skotina beach, in a distance of hardly 50 meters from the sea, under the tops of Olympus and just in front of the immense light blue of the sea.
