Spot guidance

Babadag mountain comes straight out of the sea and tops at 2000m providing a perfect flying site for all wind directions. Light winds and cloudbase at 2500-3500m are normal during the day. The most commonly used and biggest launch stands at 1,700m, where the busses stop first and there are some support facilities. At 1,800m there is another take-off, facing the opposite direction. The 1,900m take-off allows for launch in two different directions. There is also a new 1200m launch place– useful in stronger conditions or when the top gets covered by clouds.

The Destination

Oludeniz is a tourist resort with the bonus of a 2000m high mountain standing right there for you. It is located in the Muğla Province on the South West coast of Turkey just at the shores of the Aegean Sea and at the foot of Babadağ Mountain. The town is a beach resort and the area is known as the Turquoise Coast of Turkey due to its incredibly blue waters and sun drenched beaches. The whole region is surrounded by high mountains forming the southwestern peaks of the Taurus Mountains. These mountains exceed 2000 metres in some places and extend all along the coastline The nearest airport of Dalaman is only 35 min drive away. There are frequent bus and taxi services from Dalaman and Antalya airports to Oludeniz, making it easily reachable.

Requirements

It is better to take your own personal equipment but renting is possible as well. You must ensure you have a valid pilot license and a suitable insurance policy (liability and personal).

Accommodation

Acommodation is included with half-board. It consists of a double room in a 4 star hotel just 5 minutes from the beach. If you need other alternatives about accommodation just mention them during the booking process. Check optional services for the different possibilities. Families are welcome, non-pilots have a 10% discount.

Getting there

The nearest airport is Dalaman (DLM) - distant 30 from Fethiye. Pick-up and drop-off is included in the package, you just need to let us know in advance. We will arrange your airport transfers (2 ways).

Other activities

Being a tourist resort, there are many clubs along the beach where you can have fun and relax after this intense experience. If you prefer something different you'll have the chance for a more cultural program as there are some nice historical places to visit around the area.

Accommodation

Accommodation is included in the course program. You will stay in 4 star hotel just 5 minutes from the LZ at the beach. The standard base is a shared double room, but single accommodation is also possible under request. Breakfast is included. There is also the possibility of staying in a hostel with lower prices. Please inquire when booking.
